The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish in Weston is a community of Catholic volunteers dedicated to serving Christ by serving those most in need. Inspired by the example of St. Vincent de Paul and Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, our Vincentians believe that every person deserves to be seen with dignity, loved without judgment, and accompanied with compassion. Since the founding of our parish conference in 2008, we have responded to Christ's call by visiting families personally, listening to their stories, praying with them, and providing practical assistance that restores hope during life's most difficult moments. More than offering temporary relief, we seek to build lasting relationships that help individuals and families regain stability, confidence, and peace. Through our Opportunity Ministry, we help prevent poverty by empowering people with employment resources, résumé assistance, LinkedIn profile development, interview preparation, networking opportunities, and professional and spiritual guidance. We also accompany families facing financial hardship by providing food assistance, help with essential living expenses, counseling, and encouragement while working together toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency. Every home visit becomes an opportunity to encounter Christ in our neighbor, and every act of charity becomes an expression of God's mercy. Supported by generous parishioners, benefactors, and volunteers, our mission extends beyond meeting material needs—it is about restoring hope, strengthening faith, and reminding every person that they are never forgotten by God. Guided by the Gospel and sustained through prayer, service, charity, and love, we strive to become the hands and feet of Christ within our community, bringing His light wherever darkness, loneliness, or hardship may exist.
