Serving Christ with Joy at His Altar. To form young disciples who faithfully serve Christ at the altar, growing in holiness, reverence, leadership, and love for the Holy Eucharist through prayer, formation, and joyful service. Serving at the altar is a beautiful privilege and a sacred invitation to grow closer to Jesus through the Holy Eucharist. This ministry forms young disciples with hearts devoted to God, teaching them to serve the priest and the congregation with reverence, responsibility, humility, and joy during the celebration of the Mass. Through prayer, formation, and hands-on training, altar servers deepen their understanding of the sacred liturgy while developing leadership, discipline, and a lifelong love for the Catholic faith. Inspired by Christ, who came "not to be served, but to serve," they learn that every act of service, no matter how small, becomes an offering of love to God. Open to boys and girls ages 9 and older who have received First Holy Communion, this ministry provides the training and guidance needed to serve with confidence, devotion, and excellence at the altar. By answering God's call to serve, these young disciples grow in holiness and become joyful witnesses of Christ's love within their families, parish, and community. Provides the white albs worn by our altar servers — many of them children taking their first steps in service to the Church. Faithful Stewards, Generous Hearts. God calls us to honor Him by faithfully managing the gifts He has entrusted to us, so our finances become instruments of faith, freedom, generosity, and service to His Kingdom. Money is more than numbers—it is an opportunity to live our faith with trust, wisdom, and generosity. This ministry helps individuals and families discover God's plan for financial stewardship through the timeless wisdom of Sacred Scripture and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Rooted in the Bible, where more than 2,500 verses speak about money, possessions, work, generosity, and stewardship, participants learn that every financial decision can become an act of discipleship and an expression of faith. Through a six-week formation journey, they explore practical and biblical principles that help them earn honestly, spend wisely, save responsibly, give generously, invest prudently, and overcome debt while placing God at the center of every decision. Beyond financial education, this ministry invites participants to experience the freedom that comes from trusting God's providence and recognizing that everything we have ultimately belongs to Him. Whether God has entrusted us with much or little, we are all called to be faithful stewards of His blessings, using our time, talents, and treasures to serve others and advance His Kingdom. As hearts become less burdened by financial anxiety and more rooted in the Gospel, families are empowered to live with greater peace, generosity, and purpose, becoming joyful witnesses of Christ's love in their homes, parishes, workplaces, and communities. By uniting faith and finances, this ministry helps Catholics discover the freedom to say "yes" to God's call and to use every blessing He provides to continue the saving mission of Jesus Christ in the world. "Whoever is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much." — Luke 16:10 100% of your gift supports Compass at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish · Weston, FL.

Effeta is more than a retreat—it is an invitation to open your heart to the transforming love of Jesus Christ. Through a powerful weekend of prayer, heartfelt testimonies, the Sacraments, Eucharistic adoration, worship, reflection, and authentic Christian friendship, participants discover that Christ knows them personally, loves them deeply, and continually calls them to holiness. Created in 2013 in Bogotá, Colombia, Effeta has become a worldwide movement, touching thousands of lives across Latin America, Spain, the United States, and many other countries. At Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish in Weston, young adults ages 18 to 30 continue this beautiful mission by welcoming, accompanying, and serving other young people with joyful hearts, creating a community where everyone feels seen, loved, and embraced as part of God's family. Through a powerful weekend filled with prayer, heartfelt testimonies, the Holy Eucharist, Reconciliation, worship, fellowship, and authentic Christian community, participants discover that they are deeply known, unconditionally loved, and never alone. What begins as a retreat often becomes the beginning of a lifelong relationship with Christ and a deeper commitment to His Church. At Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish in Weston, Emmaus offers retreats in English and Spanish for both men and women, as well as Portuguese retreats exclusively for women, welcoming every participant into a vibrant community of faith where friendships flourish, discipleship grows, and lives continue to be transformed long after the retreat weekend. Every retreat is lovingly prepared by former participants whose lives have been transformed by Jesus and who now joyfully accompany others on the same journey of conversion and hope. Faith Formation

Weston, FL

Growing Hearts, Receiving God. Forming children and young people to know, love, and receive Jesus through the Sacraments, Catholic teaching, prayer, and the loving support of families, catechists, and the Church. Faith Formation is a sacred journey that opens the heart to receive God’s grace through the Sacraments. At Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish in Weston, this ministry accompanies children and young people from First Communion through Confirmation, helping them grow in friendship with Jesus Christ and understand that the Sacraments are a beautiful doorway to encounter God personally. Rooted in Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and teachings approved by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the program offers age-appropriate formation in Catholic doctrine, prayer, traditions, and Gospel values. Through catechesis, family involvement, parish life, and preparation for the Sacraments, students learn not only about the faith, but how to live it with love, reverence, and joy. This ministry depends on the cooperation and commitment of students, parents, and catechists, recognizing that faith is first nurtured at home and then strengthened within the Church community. Niña Maria Mission

Ministry

Niña Maria Mission

Weston, FL

We protect life from conception. Born from a moment of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, this mission began over a decade ago when its founder, Liliana Aristizábal, felt God's invitation to lovingly accompany mothers experiencing vulnerable pregnancies. What started as a simple act of faith and compassion with a small group of women has grown into an international ministry dedicated to protecting the dignity of every human life from the very beginning. Inspired by the tenderness, purity, and maternal example of Niña María, this mission believes that every child is a blessing, every mother deserves to be accompanied with love, and every family should experience the hope of Christ through a caring community. Its purpose extends far beyond providing material assistance—it seeks to become a living expression of the Gospel by bringing faith, hope, encouragement, and practical support to those who need it most. Through the collection and distribution of baby bathtubs, layettes, diapers, clothing, blankets, hygiene products, and other essential baby items, the mission serves expectant mothers and families in Colombia, Venezuela, South Florida, and other communities where help is urgently needed. Every donation represents more than a gift; it is a tangible reminder that no mother walks alone and that every new life is welcomed with dignity, tenderness, and love. Today, more than 500 volunteers across ten chapters in ten countries generously dedicate their time, talents, and hearts to this shared mission. United by prayer, they accompany mothers through attentive listening, spiritual encouragement, acts of service, and works of mercy that reflect Christ's compassion. Every layette prepared, every family visited, every prayer offered, and every embrace shared becomes a testimony that God continues to work through ordinary people willing to love extraordinarily. Prayer, humility, and service are the three pillars that guide every decision and every outreach initiative. These values inspire volunteers to serve with joyful hearts, placing the needs of mothers and children before their own while trusting God's providence in every step of the journey. Looking to the future, the mission continues to expand its reach, building new chapters, inspiring new volunteers, and bringing the light of the Gospel to more families around the world. Through devotion to Niña María and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, it remains committed to defending life, strengthening families, and becoming a lasting source of hope, compassion, and love for generations to come.
